Latest Indonesian Food Prices: Chili Up, Salt Down (Friday, April 5, 2024)

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (5/4/2024) at 09.31 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, curly red chilies, dry soybean (import), skipjack tuna, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, bulk wheat flour, bulk cooking oil, granulated sugar, and garlic cloves decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices increased the most by Rp2,870 (6.1%) to Rp49,930 per kg. The price of milkfish decreased the most by Rp1,420 (4.21%) to Rp32,310 per kg.
