Food Prices in Banten on Monday (23/12): Rice and Chili Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (23/12/2024) at 12.21 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, skipjack tuna, milkfish, pure beef, and SPHP rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken, simple packaged cooking oil, granulated sugar, iodized fine salt, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices increased the most, by Rp3,580 (7.34%) to Rp52,330 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level decreased the most sharply, by Rp1,210 (14.02%) to Rp7,420 per kg.
