Current Food Prices in West Java: Chili Up, Salt Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (29/4/2024) at 14.41 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include skipjack tuna, red chilies, bulk cooking oil, chicken eggs, and milkfish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as Indian mackerel, shallots, premium rice, bulk wheat flour, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies saw the highest increase, jumping Rp4,920 (11.01%) to Rp49,610 per kg. The price of fine iodized salt saw the lowest decrease, falling Rp210 (1.96%) to Rp10,510 per kg.
