The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded three districts/cities in East Java with an average weekly vaccination rate above the provincial average of 5,326.33 doses as of Friday, June 17, 2022.
The three top districts/cities with an average exceeding 7,000 doses are Jember, Kediri, and Tulungagung, with 14,138 doses, 7,616 doses, and 6,637 doses respectively.
Jember ranks first with an average weekly vaccination of 14,138 doses. Vaccine usage up to yesterday was recorded at 2.19 million doses. In the national dashboard recapitulation, the complete vaccination rate in this region has reached 67.73 percent.
According to the Ministry of Health, the available vaccine stock in this district will run out in the next 20 days. This remaining usage time is calculated based on the available stock of 291,220 doses and the highest weekly vaccine usage in East Java.
Following Jember is Kediri with a vaccination rate of 7,616 doses. The available vaccine stock in this district will run out in the next 19 days. This remaining usage time is calculated based on the available stock of 146,970 doses.
Also in the top five, besides the two regions above, is Tulungagung with an average weekly vaccination of 6,637 doses. Its complete vaccination coverage has reached 76.79 percent. Malang has an average weekly vaccination of 5,125 doses and a complete vaccination rate of 77.59%, and Blitar has a vaccination rate of 4,653 doses and a complete vaccination rate of 76.73%.
Areas outside Java with the highest average vaccination rates include Simalungun, Rokan Hulu, and Lampung Tengah, with average vaccinations of 7,506 doses, 6,305 doses, and 6,083 doses respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
