0.02% of Bitung City's Population Practices Other Religions

In addition to the six major religions in Indonesia, the city of Bitung recorded followers of other religions. As of December 31, 2023, these followers numbered 45 individuals. This is a decrease of 39 individuals compared to the previous year, which reported 84 individuals.

According to data from the Directorate General of Population and Civil Registration (Ditjen Dukcapil) of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the proportion of residents with other religions in this district/city reached 0.02 percent of the total population in 2023, which amounted to 219,060 people.

When viewed in terms of its distribution relative to the population of each area in North Sulawesi, the proportion of residents with other religions in Bitung City ranks fourth.

Other districts/cities in North Sulawesi with residents adhering to religions other than the six major religions, ranked from highest to lowest, are: Sangihe Islands Regency (652 individuals), Minahasa Regency (280 individuals), Talaud Islands Regency (261 individuals), South Minahasa Regency (26 individuals), Manado City (9 individuals), North Minahasa Regency (9 individuals), Bolaang Mongondow Regency (6 individuals), Siau Tagulandang Biaro Islands Regency (5 individuals), East Bolaang Mongondow Regency (2 individuals), and Tomohon City (1 individual).
