This figure is down 0.38% from the previous year's 5.01%, while it has increased by 3.25% over the past five years.

The average PoU in Indonesia was 8.53% in 2023. This means that the PoU in Manado City is lower than the national average.

According to the National Food Agency (Bapanas), PoU is a condition where a person regularly consumes insufficient food to meet the energy needs for a normal, active, and healthy life. This indicator can be used as a tool to assess food and nutrition insecurity.

This means that the percentage of Manado City residents consuming food but lacking sufficient energy intake is less than 4.63% of the total population.
