Top 10 Regencies/Cities with the Highest Average Vaccination Rates in North Kalimantan (Wednesday, June 1, 2022)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded three districts/cities in North Kalimantan with a weekly average vaccination rate above the average of 539.4 doses as of Wednesday, June 1, 2022.

The three top districts/cities with an average above 700 doses are Tarakan City, Nunukan, and Bulungan, with 966 doses, 840 doses, and 673 doses respectively.

Tarakan City recorded the highest weekly average vaccination rate in North Kalimantan with 966 doses. As of yesterday, a total of 363,740 doses have been used. Based on the national dashboard recapitulation, the complete vaccination coverage in this region has reached 84.19 percent.

According to the Ministry of Health, the available vaccine stock in this city will run out within the next 30 days. This remaining usage period is calculated based on the remaining stock of 29,412 doses and the highest vaccine usage in North Kalimantan.

Following Tarakan is Nunukan with 840 doses. The currently available vaccine stock is 28,206 doses, which is estimated to run out in 33 days.

Bulungan, with a weekly average vaccination of 673 doses, has achieved 81.9 percent complete vaccination coverage. Malinau, with 137 doses and 77.55% complete vaccination coverage, and Tana Tidung, with 81 doses and 82.8% complete vaccination coverage, follow.

Some of the areas outside Java with the highest average vaccination rates include Simalungun, Rokan Hulu, and Lampung Tengah, with average vaccinations of 7,506 doses, 6,305 doses, and 6,083 doses respectively.

Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
