Expenditure of West Aceh Regency Residents on Other Food Items: Rp1842.8 per Capita per Week

In 2023, per capita weekly household expenditure on other food items in Aceh Barat Daya Regency was Rp1,842.8. This is an increase compared to the previous year's figure of Rp1,595.37 per capita per week.

The two largest components of household expenditure on other food items in Aceh Barat Daya Regency were instant noodles (Rp1,634.36 per capita per week) and crackers (Rp208.44 per capita per week), representing the highest and lowest expenditures respectively.

Per capita average expenditure refers to the cost of consumption for all household members over a month, including purchases, gifts, and self-produced goods, divided by the number of household members. Household consumption is categorized into food and non-food consumption, regardless of the source of goods, and is limited to household needs only, excluding consumption/expenditure for business purposes or given to others.

Expenditure on food consumption is calculated weekly, while non-food consumption is calculated monthly and for the past 12 months. Both food and non-food consumption are then converted into average monthly expenditure. The per capita average consumption/expenditure figures presented in BPS publications are obtained by dividing the total consumption of all households (both consuming food and not) by the total population.

Based on region, the highest household expenditure on other food items was in Puncak Jaya Regency, and the lowest was in Yapen Waropen Regency. Aceh Barat Daya Regency ranked 450th in terms of expenditure on other food items. Meanwhile, the national average per capita weekly expenditure on other food items was Rp257.5.
