The number of people in Riau Islands who have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine has reached 1 million.

As of Monday, August 2nd, the first phase of vaccination coverage in Riau Islands Province has reached 65.34 percent. This figure includes vaccinations for 1,033,090 people out of the targeted 1.58 million. The second phase of vaccination has reached 15.27 percent of the target.

Details are as follows: For health workers, with a target of 14,000 people, the first phase achieved 14,120 vaccinations (113.9 percent of the target), and the second phase reached 105.25 percent, or 14,860 vaccinations.

For public service workers, with a target of 128,890 people, the first phase reached 545,530 vaccinations (423.24 percent of the target), and the second phase reached 91.67 percent, or 118,150 vaccinations.

For elderly vaccinations, as of Monday, August 2nd, out of a target of 87,130 people, the first phase reached 34,680 vaccinations (39.81 percent of the target). The second phase reached 22.92 percent, or 19,970 vaccinations.

For the third phase of vaccination targeting vulnerable members of the general public, with a target of 1.14 million people, the first phase reached 418,400 vaccinations (36.6 percent of the target). The second phase reached 7.74 percent, or 88,450 vaccinations.

Another target for the third phase is adolescents aged 12-17 years. The target for this group is 207,660 people. Updated data shows that the first phase reached 18,400 vaccinations (8.86 percent of the target). The second phase reached 0.02 percent, or 49 vaccinations.
