The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 24 regencies/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 0.3 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Tuesday, February 21, 2023.
The five regencies/cities with the highest inpatient utilization, exceeding one patient per 100,000 population/week, are Blitar City, Tarakan City, Madiun City, Kediri City, and Palangkaraya City, with values of 2.06 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.84 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.68 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.36 patients per 100,000 population/week, and one patient per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient utilization in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. Two regencies/cities recorded higher daily inpatient utilization than previously, while two others showed lower utilization.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization include Tarakan City, Palangkaraya City, and Mempawah, with inpatient utilization rates of 1.84 patients per 100,000 population/week, one patient per 100,000 population/week, and 0.74 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
