The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 91 regencies/cities with weekly tracing rates above the national average, currently recorded at 2.21 percent as of Friday, December 23, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with tracing rates exceeding 22.22 percent are Surabaya City, Tasikmalaya, East Jakarta City, Cianjur, and Semarang City, with values of 27.5 percent, 25.83 percent, 23.16 percent, 23 percent, and 22.22 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in tracing rates in most regencies/cities outside Java. Daily tracing rates higher than previous days were recorded in 14 regencies/cities, while 12 regencies/cities recorded lower tracing rates.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest tracing rates include Tanjung Pinang City, Karimun, and West Lombok, with tracing rates of 21 percent, 20 percent, and 19.5 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
