The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 125 districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 0.87 percent (data as of Monday, February 13, 2023).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 11.76 percent are Lebong (20 percent), Banggai Laut (16.67 percent), Kaimana (16.67 percent), Tidore Islands City (12.5 percent), and Pasaman (11.76 percent).
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java. Fifty-two districts/cities recorded a higher seven-day positivity rate than the previous day, while 43 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Lebong (20 percent), Banggai Laut (16.67 percent), and Kaimana (16.67 percent).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
