Several districts/cities in East Nusa Tenggara province still record relatively low vaccination rates compared to other regions. Some of these districts/cities include Sumba Tengah Regency, Kupang Regency, and Alor Regency.
As of Friday, January 28, 2022, these three regencies had only completed 337,350 first doses of the vaccine out of the targeted 487,680 vaccine recipients.
Sumba Tengah Regency is ranked first in terms of lowest vaccination rate. As of yesterday, this region has completed 68.7% of its vaccination program, the lowest among the other 22 districts/cities. The vaccination program in this regency targets 57,941 participants. The average weekly vaccination rate in this region last week was 367 participants. The available vaccine stock is 7,416 doses.
Next is Kupang Regency, ranking second lowest. With a vaccination target of 281,420 participants, vaccination in this region has reached 68.7%, or 193,390 participants. The average weekly vaccination rate last week was 1,439 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is currently 39,284 doses.
Alor Regency is ranked third. With a vaccination target of 148,320 participants, vaccination in this region has reached 70.2%, or 104,160 participants. The average weekly vaccination rate last week was 1,132 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is currently 18,212 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first dose vaccination in East Nusa Tenggara has reached 77.05%, covering 2.95 million vaccine recipients. The second dose vaccination has reached 44.95%, covering 1.72 million vaccine recipients.
