Several districts/cities in Riau province still record quite low second-dose vaccination rates compared to other areas. Some of these districts/cities include Rokan Hulu Regency, Indragiri Hilir Regency, and Rokan Hilir Regency.
As of yesterday's data, these three regencies have only completed 313,000 second doses out of the targeted 1.41 million vaccine recipients in their vaccination program.
Rokan Hulu Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, only 20% of the target population has received their second dose, the lowest among the 12 other districts/cities. Meanwhile, the first dose has reached 50.4%, or 302,740 vaccine recipients.
This regency's vaccination program targets 428,340 participants. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Rokan Hulu last week was 8,182 participants. The current vaccine stock is 97,650 doses.
Next is Indragiri Hilir Regency. For the second dose, this regency has the second-lowest rate. With a target of 506,800 vaccine recipients, only 22.3% or 113,250 recipients have been vaccinated.
The first dose has reached 45.1%, or 343,580 vaccine recipients. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Indragiri Hilir last week was 6,479 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is 79,102 doses.
Rokan Hilir Regency is ranked third. With a target of 479,760 vaccine recipients, only 23.8% or 114,210 recipients have received their second dose. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Rokan Hilir last week was 6,639 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is 97,070 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first-dose vaccination in Riau has reached 52.37%, or 2.53 million vaccine recipients. The second dose has reached 33.69%, covering 1.63 million vaccine recipients.
