The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded that 227 regencies/cities had a seven-day positivity rate above the national average, which currently stands at 14.25 percent (data as of Tuesday, November 15, 2022).
The top five regencies/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 52.63 percent are Tana Tidung (60.47 percent), East Sumba (58.16 percent), Central Sumba (56.67 percent), Sangihe Islands (54.55 percent), and Barito Timur (52.63 percent).
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most regencies/cities outside Java. 162 regencies/cities recorded a higher seven-day positivity rate than the previous day, while 157 regencies/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Tana Tidung (60.47 percent), East Sumba (58.16 percent), and Central Sumba (56.67 percent).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
