Weekly Household Expenditure on Cigarettes and Tobacco in Sorong Regency

The average expenditure of residents in Sorong Regency for purchasing cigarettes and other tobacco products in 2023 was Rp1,696.59 per capita per week. This figure surged compared to the previous year's expenditure, which was recorded at Rp1,082.07 per capita per week.

The five largest expenditure categories for cigarettes and tobacco in Sorong Regency, ranked from highest to lowest weekly per capita spending, are: filter kretek cigarettes (Rp25,400), white cigarettes (Rp2,029.09), other cigarettes and tobacco (Rp1,696.59), unfiltered kretek cigarettes (Rp866.76), and tobacco (Rp506.76).

Average per capita expenditure is the cost incurred for the consumption of all household members over a month, including purchases, gifts, and self-produced goods, divided by the number of household members. Household consumption is categorized as food and non-food consumption, regardless of the origin of goods, and is limited to household needs only, excluding consumption/expenditure for business purposes or given to others.

Expenditure on food consumption is calculated weekly, while non-food consumption is calculated monthly and for the past 12 months.
