The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 140 districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 3.48 percent (data as of Tuesday, December 27, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 40 percent are Gayo Lues, Sitaro, Balangan, Boven Digoel, and Tojo Una Una, with values of 66.67 percent, 60 percent, 47.5 percent, 41.18 percent, and 40 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily seven-day positivity rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 104 districts/cities, while 124 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Gayo Lues, Sitaro, and Balangan, with seven-day positivity rates of 66.67 percent, 60 percent, and 47.5 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
