The number of people in West Sulawesi who have received their first dose of the vaccine has reached 4.75 million.

West Sulawesi Province's first dose vaccination coverage had reached 98.13 percent by Friday, April 29, 2022. This figure is equivalent to 4.75 million vaccine recipients out of a target of 4.84 million people. Meanwhile, the second dose vaccination had reached 77.91 percent of the target by that date.

Based on target groups, the details of the vaccination to combat the Covid-19 virus in this province are as follows: The health workforce group had a target of 32,920 recipients. For the first dose, vaccination was successfully carried out for 32,920 people (138.3 percent of the target), and for the second dose, 134.31 percent or 44,220 people were vaccinated.

Public service workers had a target of 349,420 people. The first dose vaccination reportedly reached 399,040 people (114.2 percent of the target), and the second dose reached 105.69 percent, or 369,310 people.

The elderly target was 322,470 people. For the first dose, 235,830 people were vaccinated (73.13 percent of the target). The second dose reached only 54.32 percent, or 175,160 people.

The target for the vulnerable general public was 3.45 million people. For the first dose, vaccination was reportedly given to 2.77 million people (82.11 percent of the target). The second dose reached only 65.03 percent, or 2.19 million people.

Another target group was adolescents aged 12-17 years. The target in this region was 684,190 people. The first dose was given to 688,650 people (100.65 percent of the target). The second dose reached only 83.81 percent, or 573,450 people.
