The United States has the highest number of Omicron cases, with 1.88 million.

The Omicron (B.1.1.529) variant of the Covid-19 virus continues to spread globally, reaching 5.38 million cases by Friday, November 4, 2022. The United States ranks first, with weekly Omicron cases growing by 1.63 percent. GISAID recorded 1.88 million Omicron cases in the country. Daily cases increased by 0.07 percent compared to the previous day.

The United Kingdom follows in second place. Compared to the previous week, the number of Omicron cases in the UK grew by 0.42 percent. Daily figures show a 0.05 percent increase compared to the previous day, totaling 1.33 million cases.

Next, the number of Omicron cases in Germany increased by 0.15 percent to 466,070 compared to the previous week. Denmark recorded 314,730 Omicron cases (a 2.02 percent increase), and France saw a 3.18 percent increase, reaching 294,580 cases compared to the previous week.

Meanwhile, in Indonesia, the number of Omicron cases reached 25,348 as of the latest data, a 0.11 percent increase compared to the previous day. Since its initial detection, the number of Omicron cases in Indonesia has continued to rise.

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) urges everyone to remain vigilant in the face of the global surge in Omicron cases. The public is urged to consistently adhere to the 3M health protocols: wearing masks, maintaining distance, and washing hands.
