Average Length of Schooling for Sikka Regency Residents Reaches 7.2 Years in 2025

The average length of schooling (ALS) for residents aged 25 years and above in Sikka, East Nusa Tenggara, was 7.2 years in 2025.

According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the ALS for residents in the region was below the average for East Nusa Tenggara Province, which was 8.22 years in 2025.

Sikka's residents' ALS increased by 0.21 years (3.0%) compared to the previous year's 6.99 years. Meanwhile, in the last five years, the ALS rose by 0.26 years (3.75%).

This ALS indicates that the average Sikka resident only attended school up to grade VII. However, this ALS is still below the national ALS average of 9.07 years in 2025.

Compared to 21 other regencies/cities in East Nusa Tenggara Province, Sikka's ALS ranked 20th. Other regions in the province with the highest ALS include Kupang City (11.66 years), while the lowest ALS was Sumba Barat Daya Regency (6.47 years).
