Indonesia recorded 30,148 new Covid-19 cases today, bringing the total since the start of the pandemic to 5.8 million cases as of Tuesday, March 8, 2022. The five provinces with the highest number of new cases today are West Java, DKI Jakarta, East Java, Central Java, and Yogyakarta.

1. West Java recorded 7,194 new cases

West Java ranks first. The increase in cases here was 7,194, a 0.69% increase compared to the previous day's cumulative total of 1.05 million. With this addition, the total number of cases in West Java is now 1.05 million.

2. DKI Jakarta recorded 3,569 new cases

3. East Java recorded 2,769 new cases
