The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) notes that at least three regencies/cities have a Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR) above 60%. Nationally, the average BOR this week is 5.47 percent. This is down from 6.25 percent the previous week, according to data from Saturday, December 24, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with the highest COVID-19 BOR, exceeding 51.27 percent, are Musi Rawas Utara, Fakfak, Tulang Bawang, Muna, and Kotamobagu, with values of 100 percent, 100 percent, 64.71 percent, 52.5 percent, and 51.27 percent respectively.
A national COVID-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that the BOR in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily BOR higher than the previous day was recorded in 46 regencies/cities, while 92 regencies/cities recorded a lower BOR.
Areas outside Java with the highest BOR include Musi Rawas Utara, Fakfak, and Tulang Bawang, with BORs of 100 percent, 100 percent, and 64.71 percent respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
