Several districts/cities in East Kalimantan province still record relatively low vaccination rates compared to other areas. Some of these districts/cities include Paser Regency, North Penajam Paser Regency, and East Kutai Regency.
As of Monday, October 18, 2021, these three regions had only completed 265,110 doses of the first vaccine shot out of the targeted 678,540 vaccine recipients.
Paser Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, this region has only recorded a 36.74% vaccination rate, the lowest among the 10 other districts/cities. The vaccination program in this regency targets 209,560 participants. The average weekly vaccination rate in this area was 1,790 participants. The available vaccine stock is 9,532 doses.
Next is North Penajam Paser Regency, ranking second lowest. With a vaccination target of 135,020 participants, only 38.25% or 51,648 participants have been vaccinated. The average weekly vaccination rate in this area was 1,100 participants. The available vaccine stock is 6,733 doses.
East Kutai Regency is ranked third. With a vaccination target of 333,960 participants, only 40.87% or 136,480 participants have been vaccinated. The average weekly vaccination rate in this area was 2,864 participants. The available vaccine stock is 34,247 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first dose vaccination in East Kalimantan has reached 52.87%, covering 1.52 million vaccine recipients. The second dose vaccination has reached 31.61%, covering 908,680 vaccine recipients.
