The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 113 districts/cities with weekly tracing rates above the national average, currently recorded at 2.83 percent as of Saturday, September 17, 2022.
The top five districts/cities with rates exceeding 21.15 percent are West Lombok, Semarang City, Surabaya City, Pasuruan City, and East Jakarta City, with values of 36 percent, 24 percent, 23 percent, 21.5 percent, and 21.15 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in tracing in most districts/cities outside Java. Daily tracing rates higher than before were recorded in 20 districts/cities, while 19 districts/cities recorded lower tracing rates.
Areas outside Java with the highest tracing rates include West Lombok, Banda Aceh City, and Karimun, with tracing rates of 36 percent, 20 percent, and 17.5 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
