Expenditure per capita per week on white cigarettes by residents of South Bengkulu Regency: Rp224.69

In Bengkulu Selatan Regency in 2023, per capita weekly expenditure on white cigarettes was Rp224.69. This represents a decrease compared to the previous year's expenditure of Rp459.34 per capita per week.

The five largest components of per capita weekly household expenditure on cigarettes and tobacco in Bengkulu Selatan Regency, ranked from highest to lowest, were: kretek cigarettes with filter (Rp12,870), kretek cigarettes without filter (Rp8,511.54), white cigarettes (Rp224.69), tobacco (Rp23.79), and other cigarettes and tobacco products (Rp22.55).

Average per capita expenditure refers to the cost incurred for the consumption of all household members over a month, including purchases, gifts, and self-produced goods, divided by the number of household members. Expenditure on food consumption is calculated weekly, while non-food consumption is calculated monthly and for the preceding 12 months. Both food and non-food consumption are then converted into average monthly expenditure. The average per capita consumption/expenditure figures presented in BPS publications are obtained by dividing the total consumption of all households (both consuming food and not) by the total population.

Based on region, the highest per capita expenditure on white cigarettes was in Tana Tidung Regency, and the lowest was in Kolaka Timur Regency. Bengkulu Selatan Regency ranked 425th in terms of per capita expenditure on white cigarettes. The national average per capita weekly expenditure on white cigarettes is Rp248.
