The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) notes that 274 regencies/cities have elderly vaccination coverage above the national average, currently recorded at 54.83 percent as of Tuesday, December 27, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with elderly vaccination rates exceeding 114.25 percent are Padang Panjang City, Solok City, Yogyakarta City, South Jakarta City, and Aceh Singkil, with respective values of 156.85 percent, 129.51 percent, 119.6 percent, 118.63 percent, and 114.25 percent.
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in elderly vaccination in most regencies/cities outside Java. A daily increase in elderly vaccination rates above previous levels was recorded in 47 regencies/cities.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest elderly vaccination rates include Padang Panjang City, Solok City, and Aceh Singkil, with elderly vaccination rates of 156.85 percent, 129.51 percent, and 114.25 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
