The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 58 districts/cities with weekly agglomeration inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 1.54 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Monday, August 1, 2022.
The five districts/cities with the highest inpatient utilization, exceeding 5.27 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Palangkaraya City, Barito Timur, Tabalong, Bangli, and Badung, with respective values of 7.78 patients per 100,000 population/week, 7.02 patients per 100,000 population/week, 5.76 patients per 100,000 population/week, 5.27 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 5.27 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient utilization in most districts/cities outside Java. Daily inpatient utilization higher than before was recorded in 29 districts/cities, while 16 districts/cities recorded lower inpatient utilization.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization include Palangkaraya City, Barito Timur, and Tabalong, with inpatient utilization rates of 7.78 patients per 100,000 population/week, 7.02 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 5.76 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
