The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) notes that at least one regency/city has a Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR) above 60%. Nationally, the average BOR this week is 2.12 percent. This is down from 2.17 percent last week, according to data from Wednesday, March 22, 2023.
The top five regencies/cities with COVID-19 BORs exceeding 37.5 percent are Fakfak, Bima, Muna, Balangan, and Manggarai Timur, with values of 100 percent, 57.14 percent, 52.5 percent, 50 percent, and 37.5 percent respectively.
A national COVID-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the BOR in most regencies/cities outside Java. A daily BOR higher than the previous day was recorded in 21 regencies/cities, while 16 regencies/cities recorded a lower BOR.
Areas outside Java with the highest BOR include Fakfak, Bima, and Muna, with BORs of 100 percent, 57.14 percent, and 52.5 percent respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
