Several districts/cities in West Sulawesi province still record a relatively low level of second-dose vaccination compared to other areas. Some of these districts/cities include Majene Regency, Central Mamuju Regency, and Polewali Mandar Regency.
As of yesterday's data, in the vaccination program, these three regions have only completed 267,280 second doses out of the expected target of 603,560 vaccine recipients.
Majene Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, the second-dose vaccination in this region has only reached 43.88 percent, the lowest among the six other districts/cities. Meanwhile, the first-dose vaccination has reached 75.55 percent, or 157,290 vaccine recipients.
The vaccination program in this district/city targets 130,260 participants. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Majene last week was 205 participants. The current vaccine stock is 11,232 doses.
Next is Central Mamuju Regency. For the second dose, this area has the second-lowest rate. With a target of 103,240 vaccine recipients, only 43.93 percent, or 45,355 recipients, have been vaccinated.
The first-dose vaccination has reached 76.27 percent, or 125,500 vaccine recipients. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Central Mamuju last week was 257 participants. The current vaccine stock is 14,332 doses.
Polewali Mandar Regency is ranked third. With a target of 370,050 vaccine recipients, only 44.52 percent, or 164,760 recipients, have received the second dose. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Polewali Mandar last week was 1,300 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is 78,471 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first-dose vaccination in West Sulawesi has reached 94.26 percent, or 4.56 million vaccine recipients. The second-dose vaccination has reached 70.89 percent, covering 3.43 million vaccine recipients.
