Several districts/cities in Maluku province still record quite low vaccination rates compared to other regions. Some of these districts/cities include East Seram Regency, Central Maluku Regency, and West Seram Regency.
As of Tuesday, October 19, 2021, these three regencies had only completed 83,392 first doses of the vaccine, out of a target of 594,980 vaccine recipients.
East Seram Regency is ranked first (lowest). As of yesterday, this region only recorded an 11.54% vaccination rate, the lowest among the 11 other districts/cities. The vaccination program in this regency targets 102,560 participants. The average vaccination rate last week was 104 participants. The available vaccine stock is 4,028 doses.
Next is Central Maluku Regency, ranked second lowest. With a vaccination target of 332,540 participants, only 14.43% or 47,987 participants have been vaccinated. The average vaccination rate last week was 940 participants. The available vaccine stock is 23,270 doses.
West Seram Regency is ranked third. With a vaccination target of 159,880 participants, only 14.74% or 23,571 participants have been vaccinated. The average vaccination rate last week was 262 participants. The available vaccine stock is 4,796 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first dose vaccination in Maluku has reached 30.63%, covering 434,190 vaccine recipients. The second dose vaccination has reached 16.1%, covering 228,290 vaccine recipients.
