Several districts/cities in North Maluku province still record a relatively low second-dose vaccination rate compared to other regions. Some of these districts/cities include West Halmahera Regency, Sula Islands Regency, and Taliabu Island Regency.
As of today, in implementing the vaccination program, these three regencies have only completed 88,468 second doses out of the expected target of 220,740 vaccine recipients.
West Halmahera Regency is ranked first. As of yesterday, the second-dose vaccination rate in this region was only 38.59%. This is the lowest among the other 10 districts/cities. As for the first dose, 69.37% has been achieved today, covering 111,560 vaccine recipients.
This district/city's vaccination program targets 101,990 participants. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average vaccination rate last week in West Halmahera was 292 participants. The current remaining vaccine stock is 18,081 doses.
Next is Sula Islands Regency. For the second dose, this area has the second-lowest rate. With a target of 77,153 vaccine recipients, only 40.77% or 31,454 recipients have been vaccinated.
The first-dose achievement is recorded at 74.95%, covering 92,583 vaccine recipients. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average vaccination rate last week in Sula Islands was 59 participants. Currently, the available vaccine stock is 15,236 doses.
Another is Taliabu Island Regency, ranked third. With a target of 41,598 vaccine recipients, only 42.44% or 17,655 recipients have received the second dose. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average vaccination rate last week in Taliabu Island was 20 participants. The currently available vaccine stock is 22,922 doses.
Regarding provincial-level vaccination achievements, the total first-dose vaccination in North Maluku has reached 77.86%, covering 853,460 vaccine recipients. The second-dose vaccination has reached 54.75%, covering 600,140 vaccine recipients.
