Top 10 Least Air-Polluted Areas in Indonesia, Monday Morning: Jayapura Ranks First

Jayapura had the cleanest air in Indonesia this morning. According to the air quality index from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK), Jayapura scored 27 on Monday, October 9th, 2023, at 6:00 AM WIB.

At that time, Jayapura's air quality was categorized as "good," meaning pollutant levels were very minimal. Semarang was second with an air quality index of 36, followed by Ternate in third place with an index of 40.

Below is a complete list of the 10 cities with the cleanest air in Indonesia according to the KLHK on Monday, October 9th, 2023, at 6:00 AM WIB:

3. Ternate (North Maluku): 40
4. Balikpapan (East Kalimantan): 41
5. Bulungan (North Kalimantan): 42

While these cities had the cleanest air in Indonesia, not all cities had good air quality.

Therefore, on Monday, October 9th, 2023, at 6:00 AM WIB, cities with good air quality were Jayapura, Semarang, Ternate, Balikpapan, Bulungan, Malang, Banda Aceh, Manado, and Denpasar. One other city, Palu, had moderate air quality.
