Indonesia today recorded 1,681 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of cases since the start of the pandemic to 6.11 million as of Monday, July 11, 2022. The five provinces with the highest number of new cases today are DKI Jakarta, West Java, Banten, East Java, and Bali.

1. DKI Jakarta recorded 812 new cases

DKI Jakarta ranks first. The increase in cases here was 812, a 0.06 percent increase compared to the previous day's cumulative total of 1.28 million. With this addition, the total number of cases in DKI Jakarta is now 1.28 million.

In addition to recording the highest number of new cases, DKI Jakarta also recorded four deaths. Thus, the total number of deaths in DKI Jakarta during the COVID-19 pandemic has reached 15,333. The seven-day positive rate in DKI Jakarta is 10.75 percent, while the Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR) for COVID-19 hospitals is reported at 9.94 percent.

2. West Java recorded 306 new cases

Next is West Java. The increase in COVID-19 cases here was 306. The seven-day positive rate in this region is 4.65 percent. In an effort to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of people tested for COVID-19 in this province is recorded at 69.64 per week.
3. Banten recorded 249 new cases

Third is Banten. In this province, the increase in cases today was 249, a 0.08 percent increase compared to the previous day's cumulative total of 299,810.
