1.53 million people in West Kalimantan have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

As of Thursday, October 28, 2021, West Kalimantan Province had achieved a 39.47% vaccination rate for the first dose. This equates to 1.53 million vaccine recipients out of a target of 3.87 million people. The second dose vaccination rate reached 21.51% of the target.

By target group, the vaccination details to combat the Covid-19 virus in this province are as follows: The health workforce target was 25,020 recipients. For the first dose, 25,020 people were vaccinated (139.1% of the target), and for the second dose, 131.88% or 33,000 people were vaccinated.

For public officials, the target was 291,650 people. The first dose vaccination reached 330,060 people (113.17% of the target), and the second dose reached 98.91%, or 288,470 people.

For the elderly, the target was 350,690 people. The first dose was administered to 66,300 people (18.91% of the target). The second dose reached only 12.04%, or 42,220 people.

For the vulnerable general public, the target was 2.64 million people. The first dose was administered to 1.05 million people (40.7% of the target). The second dose reached only 17.02%, or 428,700 people.

For adolescents aged 12-17 years, the target was 569,700 people. The first dose was administered to 24,590 people (4.32% of the target). The second dose reached only 3.62%, or 20,650 people.
