In Kolaka Utara Regency in 2023, per capita weekly household expenditure on meat was Rp1,743.37. This represents a decrease compared to the previous year's figure of Rp2,773.94 per capita per week.

The four largest components of meat expenditure in Kolaka Utara Regency, ranked from highest to lowest, were: broiler chicken (Rp1,192.01 per capita per week), free-range chicken (Rp278.5 per capita per week), beef (Rp210.7 per capita per week), and other fresh meat (Rp62.15 per capita per week).

Per capita expenditure refers to the total cost of consumption for all household members over a month, divided by the number of household members. This expenditure can be categorized into two parts: food and non-food items.

Expenditure on food consumption is calculated weekly, while non-food expenditure is calculated monthly and for the preceding 12 months. Both food and non-food consumption are then converted into average monthly expenditure.
