Per capita weekly expenditure on filter-tipped kretek cigarettes in Barito Utara Regency: Rp24,240

In Barito Utara Regency in 2023, the average per capita weekly expenditure on filtered kretek cigarettes was Rp24,240. This represents a decrease compared to the previous year's expenditure of Rp26,220 per capita per week.

Expenditure on food consumption is calculated weekly, while non-food consumption is calculated monthly and for the past 12 months. Both food and non-food consumption are then converted into average monthly expenditure. The average per capita consumption/expenditure figures presented in BPS publications are obtained by dividing the total consumption of all households (both consuming food and not) by the total population.

According to the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), the average per capita expenditure in this regency reached Rp1.59 million per capita per month in March 2023. This figure increased by 27.1% compared to March 2022, which was Rp1.25 million per capita per month.

Based on region, the highest per capita expenditure on filtered kretek cigarettes was in Halmahera Tengah Regency, and the lowest was in Nduga Regency. Barito Utara Regency ranked 50th in terms of expenditure on filtered kretek cigarettes. The national average per capita weekly expenditure on filtered kretek cigarettes is Rp257.5.
