The top five, starting from the highest number of people tested per 1000 population/week, are Balikpapan City (5.03 people), Central Jakarta City (4.4 people), South Jakarta City (4.14 people), East Jakarta City (3.33 people), and West Jakarta City (2.85 people).
Balikpapan City ranks first. With a population of 649,420, the number of people tested here is recorded at 5.03 per 1000 population/week. The latest positive rate is 0.18 percent. The positive rate in this region has decreased compared to the previous week's percentage.
Next is Central Jakarta City. The population in this region is recorded at 914,530. In an effort to counter the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of people tested is 4.4 per 1000 population/week. The positive rate in this region is recorded at 2.06 percent, which has also decreased compared to the previous week's percentage.
Furthermore, South Jakarta City recorded 4.14 people tested per 1000 population/week, East Jakarta City recorded 3.33 people per 1000 population/week, and West Jakarta City recorded 2.85 people per 1000 population/week.
Anticipating the impact of Omicron in various regions, based on a recapitulation of national Covid data, there are 206 regencies/cities in Indonesia actively reporting a higher daily number of people tested than before. Meanwhile, 71 other regencies/cities recorded a lower number of people tested compared to the previous week.
