The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 26 regencies/cities with weekly tracing rates above the national average, currently recorded at 0.61 percent as of Friday, February 17, 2023.
The top five regencies/cities with rates exceeding 18.54 percent are West Lombok, Surabaya City, Malang City, Pasuruan City, and East Jakarta City, with values of 31 percent, 30 percent, 21 percent, 20 percent, and 18.54 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows that tracing in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. Daily tracing figures higher than before were recorded in 0 regencies/cities, and one regency/city recorded lower tracing.
Areas outside Java with the highest tracing rates include West Lombok, Mataram City, and Balikpapan City, with tracing rates of 31 percent, 16 percent, and 15 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
