Indonesia's COVID-19 Testing: 152,420 Specimens per Day (Tuesday, April 5, 2022)

Indonesia conducted 152,420 thousand COVID-19 specimen tests on Tuesday, April 5, 2022. This number is higher than the previous day's testing. To date, a total of 92.54 million specimens have been examined.

The average number of specimens tested has decreased. The average is 116,150 thousand specimens per day during April. In March, the average COVID-19 test was 238,070 thousand specimens per day.

The number of specimens tested includes antigen tests, Real Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests, and rapid molecular tests (TCM).

Meanwhile, the total number of people tested with RT-PCR on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, was 23,060, bringing the total to 23.18 million people. Compared to the population, the ratio is 85,160 people per one million inhabitants.

In addition to specimen testing, to suppress the spread of COVID-19, the government urges the public to more strictly implement the 3M health protocols: wearing masks, washing hands with soap, and maintaining distance and avoiding crowds.
