According to a survey report by the Katadata Insight Center (KIC), 67.2% of Indonesian respondents had used telemedicine services.

The telemedicine users referred to in this report are those who have used online consultation services with doctors, either through online services from hospitals/clinics or using third-party digital applications.

The majority, or 54.9% of respondents, used telemedicine services to save time when seeking medical treatment, while another 54.6% used it to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

48.7% of respondents used telemedicine because it is accessible anytime and anywhere, and 41.4% to save on transportation costs.

Furthermore, 35.5% of respondents used telemedicine because it was considered helpful in emergencies, and 28.7% considered the doctor's consultation fees to be cheaper.

In addition, respondents used telemedicine because it could deliver medicine directly to their homes, as well as several other reasons as shown in the graph.

This online survey was conducted from February 28 to March 7, 2022. The survey involved 2,108 respondents spread across 34 Indonesian provinces, with the criteria of being over 16 years old.
