Indonesia Exported US$245.15 Million Worth of Machinery to Canada in 2023

Indonesia recorded US$1.3 billion in exports to Canada as of December 2023. This figure represents a 1.87% increase compared to the previous year's exports, which totaled US$1.28 billion.

Indonesia's trade record with Canada shows an upward trend in exports over the past 10 years. 2023 marked a historic high with the highest export value ever recorded.

Of the 97 products (two-digit HS codes) exported to Canada, 65 products were worth more than one billion dollars. Furthermore, according to Trademap data, 80 major Indonesian products are exported to Canada annually. In other words, these products are Indonesia's main exports to Canada. Many of these products are also exported to other countries.

1. Electrical machinery, equipment and parts

In 2023, Indonesia exported US$245.15 million worth of these goods. This represents an increase compared to the previous period, which recorded US$110.3 million.

2. Rubber

Indonesia's second-largest export to Canada was rubber. The export value in 2023 was US$148.71 million, lower than the previous period's US$187.67 million.

3. Knit or crocheted clothing and accessories

Indonesia exported US$129.01 million worth of knit or crocheted clothing and accessories (HS code 61), which is lower than the previous period's US$171 million. Trademap data shows that Indonesia is among the top four exporters of knit or crocheted clothing and accessories, with Canada being its largest export destination.
