Indonesia's exports to France in 2015 only reached US$973 million, or approximately Rp13.4 trillion at an exchange rate of Rp13,790 per US dollar. This figure is down compared to the previous year, which reached US$1.02 billion. From 2011 to 2015, Indonesian exports to the "Nation of Fashion" consistently declined.
Meanwhile, Indonesia's imports in 2015 saw a slight increase of 0.3 percent to US$1.34 billion, or the equivalent of Rp18.44 trillion. From 2011 to 2015, Indonesian imports from France actually also decreased. In 2011, the import value reached US$2 billion, but in 2015 it was only US$1.3 billion.
In 2015, Indonesia's trade balance with France showed a deficit of US$363.9 million, or Rp5.02 trillion. Indonesian imports from France consisted of aircraft parts, machinery, and various chemical products. Meanwhile, Indonesian exports to France included electrical machinery, rubber commodities, and furniture.
