According to data from the Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), the growth of Domestic Investment (PMDN) value in the wood industry sector in Central Kalimantan in 2023 increased by 161.33% to Rp3,926.5 million. Since 1992, the value of PMDN investment in the wood industry sector in Central Kalimantan has shown an upward trend in terms of quantity. Conversely, in the post-COVID period over the past four years, the value of PMDN investment in the wood industry sector by province has been on an upward trend.
Previously, according to the records of the last seven years, the highest growth in Central Kalimantan occurred in 2018, with the value of PMDN investment in the wood industry sector reaching Rp3,926.5 million. In the last six years, the average growth of PMDN investment in the wood industry sector was recorded at 3339.1%.

The average value of PMDN investment in the wood industry sector in Indonesia in 2023 is Rp79.77 billion. Only a small number of provinces currently show lower values compared to the same period the previous year.
East Java ranks first, recording Rp803.92 billion. This province recorded a decrease of Rp1.06 trillion compared to the previous year.
Next is Central Java, which recorded a PMDN investment value in the wood industry sector of Rp271.93 billion, lower than the same period the previous year. For the annual data, the PMDN investment value in the wood industry sector in this province decreased by 31.17% compared to the previous year.
Then, South Kalimantan with a PMDN investment value in the wood industry sector of Rp195.89 billion (up 417.91%), East Kalimantan with a PMDN investment value in the wood industry sector of Rp193.27 billion (up 705.24%), and North Maluku with a PMDN investment value in the wood industry sector down 60.11% to Rp171.41 billion compared to the same period the previous year.
