According to a survey by e-logistics company Ninjavan, Shopee was the most preferred live shopping platform in Southeast Asia in 2022.

Shopee's live shopping was used by 27% of respondents in Southeast Asia, the highest compared to its competitors.

Respondents who regularly used live shopping via Facebook reached 25.5%, followed by TikTok at 22.5%, Lazada at 15%, and Instagram at 7%.

The least used live shopping platform in Southeast Asia was YouTube, with only 3% of respondents.

However, the ranking of favorite platforms varied by country.

In Indonesia, for example, the most favored live shopping platform was TikTok with 27.5% of respondents, while Shopee ranked second with 26.5%.

Several countries that most frequently used Shopee for live shopping were Singapore (33.7%), the Philippines (30.3%), and Malaysia (25.2%).

This survey also found that 1 in 3 respondents were sellers who regularly used the live streaming feature (livesellers). They spent up to 6 hours each week conducting sales sessions.

Ninjavan conducted this survey among 1,186 respondents in Southeast Asia in November 2022. The breakdown was: 316 from Indonesia, 224 from Malaysia, 204 from Singapore, 155 from Vietnam, 153 from the Philippines, and 134 from Thailand.
