The Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi) reported that from 2016 until November 16, 2025, it had blocked 11 million pieces of negative content circulating on the internet.
Specifically, 8.3 million pieces of negative content were found on websites and 2.7 million on social media.
Among website content, online gambling was the most blocked negative content by Komdigi. The number reached 6.4 million pieces of content, or 77.1% of the total.
Below is a list of 10 types of negative content on websites handled by Komdigi from 2016 until November 16, 2025:
1. Online gambling: 6,416,791 content
2. Pornography: 1,818,016 content
3. Intellectual Property Rights (IPR): 29,831 content
4. Fraud: 25,319 content
5. Negative content recommended by sectoral agencies: 7,749 content
6. Information security violations: 951 content
7. Terrorism/radicalism: 566 content
8. SARA (Ethnic, Religious, Racial, and Intergroup issues): 190 content
9. Trade of products with special regulations: 133 content
10. False news or hoaxes: 41 content
In addition, Komdigi also addressed negative content on social media.
X or Twitter was the social media platform where the most negative content was found, with a total of 1.46 million pieces of content. This was followed by Meta with 840.5 thousand pieces of content, file sharing with 287.49 thousand pieces of content, and Google with 83.54 thousand pieces of content.
