Five global technology giants—Apple, Google, Amazon, Meta, and Microsoft—have reported their second-quarter 2025 financial performance.
These tech elites, often abbreviated as GAMAM, reported positive revenue and net income growth, according to financial reports compiled by Statista.
Amazon reported the highest revenue, reaching US$167.7 billion in Q2 2025, a 13.3% year-on-year (YoY) increase. The company, led by Jeff Bezos, also recorded a net income of US$18.2 billion, a 34.7% YoY surge.
"However, cloud business sales lagging behind competitor growth rates and less convincing projections regarding the future impact of tariffs have put pressure on Amazon's share price after the announcement," Statista noted regarding Amazon, as quoted on Thursday (August 21, 2025).
Next is Alphabet, Google's parent company, with revenue of US$96.4 billion, up 13.8% YoY. Net income reached US$28.2 billion, a 19.4% increase.
"Alphabet cites the surge in demand for cloud services as a key driver. The company also previously announced a collaboration with OpenAI," Statista wrote.
Apple reported revenue of US$94 billion and net income of US$23.4 billion, growing by 9.6% and 9.3% respectively compared to Q2 2024.
Statista attributes this growth to strong iPhone sales—as many consumers upgraded due to concerns about tariff increases—which coincided with the launch of the latest MacBook Air model. The company's services segment also continued to show solid growth.
Microsoft posted revenue of US$76.4 billion, a growth of 18.1%. The Bill Gates-led company earned US$27.2 billion in profit, a 23.6% increase.
"Microsoft reported positive results thanks to its continuously expanding cloud business, as the need for data center capacity has increased rapidly due to AI advancements," Statista wrote.
Meta occupied the last position with revenue of US$47.5 billion, a 21.6% increase, and profit of US$18.3 billion, a 36.2% increase.
Facebook's parent company, led by Mark Zuckerberg, stated it will continue to invest in AI and superintelligence, as these technologies are beginning to have a significant impact on its core advertising business.
