The Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) reports that there are five main countries importing goods via *e-commerce* to Indonesia.

China is recorded as the country supplying the most goods to Indonesian *e-commerce*. Imports from the "Middle Kingdom" reached US$61.9 million, contributing 24.3% of the total value of imported goods.

"Indeed, the highest ranking based on import value is through China," said DJBC Director of Customs Technical Fadjar Donny in Jakarta, as reported by *Katadata.co.id* on Thursday (12/10/2023).

Hong Kong is second, with imports totaling US$38.6 million, or 15.2%.

Singapore follows in third place with goods imported to Indonesia valued at US$36.6 million, contributing 14.44%.

This is followed by the United States with imports of US$21.1 million and Japan with US$18.1 million. Both countries contributed less than 10% of *e-commerce* goods imported to Indonesia.

Fadjar also explained that imports of goods via *e-commerce* to Indonesia have increased significantly since 2019. He illustrated this by stating that consignment notes (CNs) reached 19.6 million in 2018. Then in 2019, the number jumped to 71.5 million.

However, in 2020 it decreased to 61.1 million. Then it increased again to 61.5 million in 2021 and 61.3 million in May 2023.
