Indonesia's Lowest Football Ranking in Southeast Asia

Indonesia's dribbling skills are ranked lowest compared to other countries competing in the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Championship. The FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking released by the International Federation of Association Football in November 2016 placed Indonesia 179th with 100 points out of 209 countries. Meanwhile, the Philippines ranked highest with 289 points, placing 117th globally.

Vietnam holds the second-best football ranking in Southeast Asia with 235 points, placing 129th globally. Thailand follows in third place with 235 points. With a 17-position rise from the previous year, Thailand has shown significant improvement compared to other ASEAN member countries.

The ranking is based on official "A" category international matches from the FIFA international calendar. Points are calculated using a formula that considers match results, match importance, opponent strength, and confederation strength over the past 48 months.
