Indonesia's national team (Timnas Indonesia) is ranked 150th in the FIFA men's rankings released on Thursday, June 29, 2023.
The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) report shows that Indonesia's score reached 1,047.46 points at the end of last month, down 1.32 points from the period of April 6, 2023.
The Garuda team dropped one rank from the previous list after losing to the 2022 World Cup champion, Argentina, and drawing against Palestine in the June 2023 FIFA Matchday.
Despite the global ranking decline, the Merah Putih team remains 28th in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and 5th in Southeast Asia.
Vietnam still holds the top spot in the FIFA rankings in Southeast Asia, with 1,238.23 points, up 8.54 points from its position on April 6, 2023. Vietnam's global FIFA ranking remains at 95th.
Following Vietnam are Thailand, the Philippines, and Malaysia in second, third, and fourth place respectively in Southeast Asia as of June 29, 2023, with a total of 1,174.37 points, 1,095.66 points, and 1,091.57 points respectively. These three countries experienced an increase in their global rankings from the previous period.
Overall, the FIFA rankings in Southeast Asia at the end of June 2023 did not change from the previous period.
Argentina remains firmly at the top of the world FIFA rankings in the same category and period, with a total of 1,843.73 points.
