Shin Tae-yong's team is now ranked 142nd, up from 146th. From four matches in the Asian Cup, including friendly matches against Libya and Iran, Indonesia gained an additional 8.65 points, reaching a total of 1,072.66 points.
Meanwhile, Vietnam experienced disappointing results. The Golden Stars team dropped 11 places in the FIFA rankings, falling out of the top 100 to 105th place.
Losses to Japan, Indonesia, and Iraq in the 2023 Asian Cup resulted in Vietnam losing 41 points in the latest FIFA rankings. Vietnam experienced the largest point reduction in the FIFA rankings as of February 15, 2024.
Vietnam also lost its status as the top ASEAN team. Thailand now holds the top position in the region, climbing 12 places to 101st in the FIFA rankings.
Malaysia dropped two places to 132nd in the world. The Philippines rose one place to 139th, despite not playing in the 2023 Asian Cup.
Qatar saw a significant rise in the FIFA rankings after winning the 2023 Asian Cup. The Maroons climbed 21 places to 37th. Japan remains the strongest team in Asia, holding the 18th position in the FIFA rankings.
The top 10 positions in the FIFA rankings remained unchanged. Argentina still leads, followed by France and England.
